HAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAA.
That, my bloggy friends, did not happen. Not even a little bit, and this is why.
My studio is supposed to look sort of like this, but nice:
My vision for the studio involves lovely green bins and baskets filled with yummy things - all neatly tucked away into their proper spots. Ummm. It's not quite there yet. In fact, it looks more like this:
So I am sorry. To be quite honest with you, the piles of boxes have completely overtaken the whole room, and I'm not sure exactly where all the leftover fabric is, although I THINK it may be under a large pile of boxes in the lower left hand corner. I think? We have quite a bit left, so I do promise that it will be FANTASTIC once I get things unpacked and organized. I'm working on it, I swear - it's just a weeeeee bit more involved than I thought. I'm also trying to balance this between nearly daily visits to the "get healthy" doc, which is pretty intense, and moving out of the shop took more time than I thought it would!
Speaking of moving out... it was hard. Ugh. Very, very hard. I came home and watched a marathon of "Real Housewives of New Jersey" and then the RHONJ reunion, and felt much better about things because OMGOMGOMGOMG, those women are CRAZAZY. They make me feel slightly normal! Does anyone else watch this show, because I should feel ashamed, I guess, about watching it but I LOVE IT. I can't stop. And nobody else I know watches it, and I am dying for a RHONJ gossip buddy.
In other news, starting on Tuesday, I will be posting a series of our Ghost Tales on this blog. Our old location was totally haunted, and I don't even really believe in ghosts. So the stories will begin on Tuesday, starting with the tale of the old lady. CREEPY and awesome.
And - my health has already improved, ya'll. :) Small steps, but I'm now allowed to walk unsupervised, which means I can walk around my town - YAYYY! :)
Hope you are all having a GREAT weekend - so looking forward to it! Craving some family time. :)

Hi Ari. I hope you're okay. I'm sort of in the organizing mode myself. It's slow because when I'm in my creative room, I get creative and distracted and don't clean up too much. Will you be at fall market or is that off the health chart?? I'd love to see you!
ReplyDeleteLove RHONJ but need to know if you are Team Theresa or Team Danielle? Can't wait to hear the ghost stories. Your studio will be amazing- someday soon....
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your posts and your original artwork - hilarious! Glad you're feeling better, please keep your sense of humor!
ReplyDeleteJen, I don't know right now. I am NOT team Danielle, but Theresa is kind of a lunatic too. I think I'm team Caroline. :) Better yet, I think I'm team ANDY!!
ReplyDeleteNice to hear about your health, I hold my fingers crossed that you get better every day. Ari, I do NOT want to give a bad comment on Etsy so I'll wait som more for your answer. I find you so sympathetic and I understand you are in a really difficult situation. But please answer to my convoe ...
ReplyDeleteTake care!!!
Jenny
Hey you.... Glad your health has improved! Im looking forward to the ghost stories. Keep your chin up....
ReplyDeleteHey Jenny - instead of sending a convo, which I think I'm either not seeing or they just aren't coming through, please email me. :) Much easier! ari@buttercuppity.com
ReplyDeleteI agree- both crazy but if forced to choose I think Theresa is less awful or at least a better parent/person. Plus you have to wonder how they edit or what they don't show you- read somewhere what set Theresa off was that Danielle was starting rumors that Theresa's husband had affairs/child or something. LOVE the update- can't wait to see pics- you should post a before pic hee hee
ReplyDeletehey there!! you are too funny!! I love your stories and I hope that I get to see you soon. Have a fantastic non-Labor Day... haha!! lots of love to you and your family!!

So good to read another blog post and laugh! Oh how I can completely relate! Looking forward to your ghost stories! I still have yet to hear them. I'm also thrilled to hear that everything is going well with your help! Have a great weekend, Ari! :)
ReplyDeleteGood to hear from you and the health news is good!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear your health is improving. You will get your studio in order all in good time :-) Keep listening to your Dr. and keep writing :-)
ReplyDeleteOMGosh...glad to see that I am no the only one! Worse thing is cleaning it just moves it around and one side look nice and then start the other and it just continues...lol.
ReplyDeleteKeeping you in my prayers...love the reason why you name your shop...smile!
I think my craft room may look like your studio :-( I'm constantly trying to get organized, but that only ever lasts for a day or two.
ReplyDeleteI always want to watch those t.v. shows b/c I would love to gossip about them...but I can't seem to get into them. I don't know wny? I want to like them.
I watch those crazy ladies too, it is my way of decompressing from the day :)
